Inspired
At church today we received this packet, and it was filled with simple, short messages with a general theme of what I took to be as appreciating the little things in life. I was inspired to write this short entry today in hopes of inspiring someone and to show how I was inspired, myself. This lesson I learned today, is in itself, a little thing.
I, personally, have been fascinated with everything in life. Ever since I was young, I've found myself staring at everything I came across in awe, appreciating it's whole existence. I had known in my heart, since I was young, there is something great about this Earth. It's not only found in the people of the Earth, but in the nature of it. How could one take a glance the sky and not think that there isn't some kind of plan for us here? Maybe because it's just a glance. Maybe people don't take the time out of their busy, hectic lives to look longer, or look closer. There is much that goes on in our lives that we take for granted, and I sort of have a problem with this too. We are too involved with our own lives to sometimes stop and look at the things and the people around us. What's the weather like now? What is put into our food? Who made our clothes? What book haven't I read? What haven't I done to stay healthy? Who needs my help? How is my family feeling? What's going on in the world? These are questions I wish more people asked. New perspective is always great too. Just knowing that there is so much to do in this life is all the more reason to love it. We shouldn't use the excuse "I'm bored," again because there is much for us to do and much for us to improve on. Teach yourself by reading books, informative journals or magazines, newspapers. Use every sense you have and make every day count. Live every day like your last. Like you only have a day to see and experience everything God has to offer on this beautiful Earth. Then you will find yourself saying,"I'm not bored anymore." I feel like maybe we have gone downhill in our day to day activities, but it shouldn't be like that. Of course, the internet is our world now, but for once in a while, we can go outside and do something with people we love. And even through the internet, we can find inspiring things and we have these tools to inspire others. Live, Laugh, and Love is one of my favorite quotes, and it should be used in the right context. Live everyday like it's your last. Don't waste your life away with stuff that will make you feel bad. Laugh until your stomach hurts. It's the best medicine, really. Love like you want to be loved. Treat everyone like your family, be close as brothers and sisters, and try as hard as you can to forgive.
That's my piece of light that I'd like to shed today. I say these things, not because I'm perfect (far from it), but because I gained that revelation in my heart today as I attended church. And all things are inspired by God. Thanks for reading. :)
