Consider the Lilies

"Consider the Lilies How they Grow: they toil not, they spin not..." Luke 12:27

I want to share an experience I had today. This morning I woke up feeling sick and the rest of the day was just kind of blah. Sometimes I have days where I feel like I don't have a place in the world and I forget my value. And today was one of those days.

I got home and knelt down to pray to Heavenly Father. It's kind of one of those pleading prayers that you just really really need him to answer and you just want to know that he is there and listening. Well, during the prayer, I could feel comfort flood my body (also not the first time I have received his spirit like that). So I knew that was his initial connection to me to show me he was there, listening.

And then I got an idea to go watch those Bible Videos that the church comes out with. I cannot describe the love I felt from Heavenly Father as I watched them. Every word Christ was saying was everything I needed to here.

So let me tell you, he answers prayers. Yes, God is aware of us. And Christ created us and died for us, so why would he not be aware of us too?
Christ shares in the scriptures,
28:"If God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?"

And then you ask, what if I doubt?
31:"But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you."

So God is basically saying, I'll take care of you. All you need to do is look to me. He talks about how Ravens don't even have shelter, yet He still feeds them.

We don't need to doubt when God is in the picture. Put your trust in him who created you. He comprehends so much more than you can think.

Read carefully some of these sections of verse from the hymn "Consider the Lilies"

Consider the sheep of His fold, How they follow where He leads. Though the path may wind across the mountains, He knows the meadows where they feed.

He clothes the lilies of the field. He feeds the birds in the sky, And He will feed those who trust Him, And guide them with His eye.

Consider the sweet, tender children Who must suffer on this earth. The pains of all of them He carried From the day of His birth.

He clothes the lilies of the field, He feeds the lambs in His fold, And He will heal those who trust Him, And make their hearts as gold.

I testify that Jesus Christ WILL heal us if we put our trust in him. Sometimes it's hard to do that. But his love for us is 100%. There is nothing we can do to make him go down to 80% or 10%. And he will bring us closer to our Heavenly Father. He is the only way. He is the only true healer this world can offer. Seek him first.
